It's those immeasurably powerful moments when we stand still and stay close to ourselves that make us see things more clearly, and that give us a better understanding of ourselves and our connectedness with each other. Next to the physical aspect of the practice, this is what yoga has come to mean for me.
Having embarked on yoga as a mainly physical exercise and in search of a better work-life balance, it soon started working its magic on me and continues to do so. The magic for me is the inspiration I find in it - and I love to share it! By now, both yoga and meditation have become an integral part of my life, expanding far beyond the yoga mat.
I’ve recently completed the Power Vinyasa teacher training with Anat Geiger, Johan Noorloos and Marcel van de Vis Heil, which for me is only the beginning of a beautiful journey with infinitely more to explore. So far, I’ve had the chance to practice with and receive guidance and inspiration from some excellent teachers, such as Anthony ‘Prem’ Carlisi & Heather ‘Radha’ Duplex, Helen Knox-Johnston and Jax Lysycia, which I’m very grateful for.
In my classes, the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga is the basis I work from. I strive to create a warm class environment as the foundation for a mindful, dynamic and inspiring yoga practice that integrates meditation, breathing and relaxation techniques. I would describe my teaching style as authentic, precise and detailed, with a focus on technique.
